Do you have any job huggers on your team?

Job-hugger: someone who is clinging onto their role because it’s a safe option.

If you have any on your payroll, the good news is they probably won’t be leaving any time soon. 🥳

The downside is there’s a good chance they find their current role unfulfilling, and are sticking around because it’s easier, not because they’re motivated.

Here’s how you can make sure your workplace avoids job hugging:

🤎 Give people guidance and support – ask your team what they goals are and how you can help in achieving them.

🤎 Make opportunities – consider giving employees who are keen for a change the chance to try new positions within the company.

🤎 Emphasise progression – make sure your team members know what they need to do to develop professionally so they don’t lose interest.
