Harte Recruitment is working with an established, well-regarded Estate Agency in Huddersfield that is looking to add an experienced Lettings Negotiator to their office-based lettings team.
This role is suited to someone who already understands the lettings process — from handling enquiries and registering applicants through to progressing tenancies and supporting landlords with confidence and professionalism. You’ll be joining a structured, reputable agency that values compliance, consistency, and long-term relationships.
As Lettings Negotiator, you will be the main point of contact between landlords and tenants, ensuring properties are let efficiently to suitable applicants. The role is busy and varied, offering a supportive office environment and a steady flow of instructions.
The Package:
- Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week + 1 in 4 Saturdays, 4 hours
- Up to £24,000 basic salary per annum + up to £28,000 OTE
- Workplace pension
The Lettings Negotiator role:
- Registering applicant details and property requirements
- Booking and coordinating viewings
- Negotiating with potential tenants
- Dealing with both general enquiries and enquiries from applicants daily including walk ins, telephone, and email.
- Contributing to any marketing strategies and ensuring all marketing material is compliant with the brand.
- Promoting additional services to existing tenants
- Liaising with the maintenance team when required, to ensure that any necessary repairs are dealt with diligently and promptly
- Adhering to HR policies and procedures
The Person:
- Excellent customer service
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Knowledge of IT packages including Excel
- Lettings experience (essential)
