The Company and Role Purpose:
Harte Recruitment is supporting a well-established, highly regarded Estate Agency to appoint a Lettings Property Manager to join their Sunderland office.
This is a pivotal hire, created to strengthen the Lettings function and provide hands-on support to a respected Lettings Manager within a busy, high-performing branch.
The Lettings Property Manager will operate at the heart of the portfolio — managing landlord and tenant relationships, coordinating maintenance, and ensuring every property under management runs smoothly, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. You’ll be trusted to take ownership, solve problems, and keep momentum moving, while being backed by a professional, supportive team that values reliability and doing things properly.
Based primarily in the office, with regular field visits for inspections and on-site responsibilities, this Lettings Property Manager role offers the ideal balance between team collaboration and being out in the field — giving you full visibility and ownership across the properties you manage.
The Package
- Basic salary £27,500 – £35,000 per annum (DOE)
- Mileage paid at 45p per mile
- 24 days annual leave + bank holidays
- Company pension and private medical insurance
- Monday–Friday, 09:00 – 17:00 + 1 in 4 Saturdays 09:00–12:00

The Role
- Managing landlord and tenant relationships day-to-day
- Coordinating maintenance and contractor activity
- Conducting property inspections, check-ins, and check-outs
- Supporting the Lettings Manager with portfolio management
- Handling enquiries and resolving issues efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records using property management systems
The Person
- Experience in Lettings / Property Management (essential)
- Highly organised and capable of managing multiple priorities
- Strong communicator with a calm, professional approach
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership of responsibilities
- Professional presentation aligned with a quality-focused brand
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential)
