Does Flexible Working Really Matter?

All too often, job seekers tell Harte they want to leave their role because of a work problem that no longer seems manageable or because their personal circumstances have changed. A lot of the time they still enjoy what they do but aren’t communicating the problems they have with their employer.

When I find myself talking to someone in this situation, I always encourage them to have a discussion with their line manager before going full steam ahead and applying for something new.

As much as I want to help jobseekers find new roles that fulfil them, I also want to do what is right for them. That is how Harte recruitment goes the extra mile. Getting jobseekers to talk to their employer first and exhaust any options of them staying where they love working is always the first thing we do.
