Senior Property Recruiter - 1234143

Basic salary: £26,000–£30,000 (D.O.E)

Location: Lindley

The Company and Role Purpose:

About Harte Recruitment:

We’re a growing recruitment agency specialising in the property sector. We’re passionate about doing recruitment differently — with integrity, warmth, and a bit of grit. We care about our clients, we care about our candidates, and we care about doing things properly.

This is a unique opportunity to join a growing business at a pivotal moment — and help shape what it becomes.

About the Role:

This isn’t just another recruitment job. It’s a growth opportunity to become the commercial right hand to a founder scaling a thriving, values-led recruitment business in the property sector.

We’re looking for a confident, commercially minded recruiter who loves building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants more than just a billing desk. This is your chance to co-drive business growth, shape processes, and step into a role with growth and leadership.

You’ll work directly with the founder (who’s still very hands-on) and the wider team to build strong client partnerships, deliver excellent candidate experiences, and develop the systems that make scaling possible.

This is a role with progression built in — ideal for someone who wants to take real ownership and help lead the business in time.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Managing full 360 recruitment across the property sector
  • Leading client conversations, taking on and signing off job briefs, and qualifying roles with confidence
  • Representing the business at networking events and meetings (including some travel when required)
  • Developing and refining recruitment processes and candidate journeys
  • Building a high-quality candidate pipeline using outreach, job boards and referrals
  • Driving repeat business and identifying new opportunities
  • Working closely with the founder to align on strategy, goals, and day-to-day priorities
  • Acting as the founder’s sounding board, support system, and future right-hand leader

Who You Are:

  • An experienced recruiter (in-house or agency) or sales professional with strong B2B experience
  • Commercially savvy — understands value, relationship building and long-game growth
  • Proactive and confident, able to work independently and prioritise effectively
  • Honest, kind, and values-driven — you’ll be part of a small team where energy and integrity matter
  • Process-minded — you enjoy improving systems and making things run better
  • Excited by the opportunity to step up over time and take more responsibility in the business
  • Driving licence is preferable but not essential

The Package:

  • £26,000–£30,000 base salary (DOE)
  • Generous commission structure (team and individual)
  • Flexible working around core hours
  • Hybrid working: 3 days/week in our Huddersfield office, 2 remote (or office)
  • 23 days + bank holidays (extra time off at Christmas on a discretionary basis)
  • Free parking
  • Paid mileage
  • Company laptop and mobile
  • Health and wellbeing initiatives
  • Relaxed working environment, with open and honest people
  • Casual dress policy
  • Yearly salary review

All too often, job seekers tell Harte they want to leave their role because of a work problem that no longer seems manageable or because their personal circumstances have changed. A lot of the time they still enjoy what they do but aren’t communicating the problems they have with their employer. When I find myself talking to someone in this situation, I always encourage them to have a discussion with their line manager before going full steam ahead and applying for something new. As much as I want to help jobseekers find new roles that fulfil them, I also want to do what is right for them. That is how Harte recruitment goes the extra mile. Getting jobseekers to talk to their employer first and exhaust any options of them staying where they love working is always the first thing we do.
