The Company and Role Purpose: 

Harte Recruitment is working with a well-established, independent estate agency in Newcastle, known for its strong local presence, consistent stock, and long-term landlord relationships. 

 

They’re now looking to bring in a Lettings Negotiator to strengthen the front end of the business. This is a role designed to let you focus on what actually drives results handling enquiries, progressing deals, and building relationships without getting pulled into the back-end process. 

 

As Lettings Negotiator you’ll be supported by an accompanied viewer and a streamlined system where referencing is handled automatically and deals are passed straight into property management once agreed. It’s a cleaner, more efficient way of working and a genuinely more enjoyable day-to-day. 


The Package 

 

  • £25,000 with OTE £28,000 
  • Pool car available for business use, so no wear and tear on your own vehicle 
  • 1 in 2 Saturdays (with time off in lieu or overtime paid) 
  • 22 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service)

The Lettings Negotiator Role 

 

  • Managing and responding to lettings enquiries 
  • Arranging viewings, with support from an accompanied viewer 
  • Carrying out viewings when needed (not all day, every day) 
  • Taking holding deposits and progressing deals 
  • Providing clear, timely feedback to landlords 
  • Handling landlord enquiries and maintaining strong relationships 
  • Working within a streamlined process, no heavy admin or referencing 
  • Handing over agreed lets to the property management team 

 

 

The Person 

 

  • Previous experience within lettings or estate agency 
  • Confident communicator with a natural ability to build rapport 
  • Commercially aware and motivated to convert opportunities 
  • Enjoys the front-end of the deal, speaking to applicants and getting lets agreed 
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage a busy pipeline 
  • A team player who values consistency, service, and long-term relationships 
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
