Harte Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a well-established, York based letting agency, renowned for managing a large portfolio of student and residential properties with a high standard of care and professionalism. They are now seeking a Maintenance Coordinator on a 1 year fixed-term-contract to join their experienced team. As a Maintenance Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in keeping properties in top condition and ensuring tenants receive fast, reliable, and professional support. During the busy summer period, you’ll either be based in the office coordinating repairs and scheduling contractors, or out in the field inspecting properties and reporting on their condition.
The Package:
- Basic salary of £25,600 per annum + up to £3,000 paid overtime
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break (40 hours per week)
- 22 days annual leave per annum (2 to be used on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve) + bank holidays
- Work from home one day a week available after 6 months in the role
- Time and a half for any overtime worked during peak letting season and summer changeovers
- Flexible Christmas working: 3.5 hours on Christmas Eve (remainder paid) or half-day holiday; 5.5 hours/day between Christmas & New Year (full pay or holiday)
- Team culture with 3–4 company events per year

The Maintenance Coordinator Role:
- Coordinate day-to-day property maintenance in a fast-paced environment
- Prioritise tenant requests, schedule works with contractors, and manage budgets
- Liaise with landlords, tenants, and contractors; manage keys and appointments
- Oversee end-of-tenancy works and property inspections
- Schedule contractors and ensure properties are ready for new tenants
The Person:
- Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills
- Good attention to detail; able to multitask and prioritise effectively
- Experience in lettings or property maintenance (desirable)
- Complaint handling experience
- Full UK driving licence
