The Company and Role Purpose:
If you’re an experienced Property Manager or Lettings professional who likes having ownership of your own portfolio, managing your own day and being trusted to get things sorted, this is a varied role where you’ll be involved in everything from inspections and maintenance through to renewals, deposits and compliance.
The Package:
- Up to £30,000 basic salary, depending on experience
- Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
- Ad hoc Saturdays, if and when required
- 22 days' annual leave plus Bank Holidays
- Additional annual leave over the Christmas period (at the company's discretion)
- Free parking
- Office-based
The Company & Role:
Harte Recruitment is working with a well-established property business in Leeds to appoint a Property Manager to work alongside a team of experienced Property Managers and take ownership of their own residential portfolio.
You’ll be the key point of contact across the property management journey, building relationships with tenants while keeping on top of inspections, maintenance, renewals, compliance and the financial administration surrounding your portfolio.
It’s a role for somebody who enjoys variety, can confidently manage their own workload and doesn’t need to be chased to get things done.
The Person:
- Previous Property Management and/or Lettings experience (essential)
- Experience conducting property inspections and inventories
- Proactive, organised and confident managing your own workload
- Good working knowledge of lettings legislation and regulations
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Confident handling different client and tenant requirements
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to juggle competing priorities
- Full driving licence and own transport (essential)
The Property Manager Role:
- Manage your own residential property portfolio and build strong tenant relationships
- Conduct internal and external property inspections, producing detailed reports and recommendations
- Manage check-outs, deposit returns and disputes
- Coordinate maintenance requests and contractors through to resolution
- Manage tenancy renewals and associated documentation
- Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and lettings legislation
- Create property listings and conduct viewings when required
- Monitor rent payments and support associated financial reporting
- Assist with maintenance budgeting
- Maintain accurate records and ensure key actions and documentation are completed on time
